Workshop 3 : Deconstructing the messages of advertising.
1.OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP
- To understand the expanding role of advertisement in contemporary life.
- To create socially relevant advertisement.
- To enhance brainstorming in student teachers.
- To develop cooperation and team spirit in student teachers.
2. THE MODUS OPERANDI OF THE WORKSHOP
The workshop 'Ad-dress the public interest ' was conducted on 9 th July 2024.Workshop was leaded by Mr.Rejish.M(Asst.Professor,MTCTE ).Students were divided in to 10 group-Agneya,Bodhi,Chinmaya,Prathibha,Sarga,Chaithanya,Dyuthi,Lavanya,Samanwaya and Ujjwala.Stebin,Krishnaveni,RiyaUsman,Nafiya and me were the members of samanwaya group.The workshop was conducted in 3 session.In the first session, each of the group members created their own tagline and presented it.In the second session, we were engaged in group activity.We selected best tagline from group members and designed it on a chart by adding our own creative element.We created an advertisement of goat farm.In the third session,we were engaged in making a socially relevant advertisement.Each of the group selected a socially relevant message and engaged in video shooting. We selected a topic related to health.
3.ASSESSMENT OF THE YIELD OF THE WORKSHOP
The workshop was very effective. It helped to enhance creativity and brainstorming in us.Each of the group members participated very productively and contributed their own ideas.The workshop really helped to develop cooperation among us.
